THE DIGEST
✅ Happy Election Day!
If you didn’t make it to the polls during the last two weeks, today is your final opportunity to cast your ballot in the Primary. Voting locations have changed, so please check this website or look at the updated list of voting locations below.
Polls are open 7 AM–7 PM. While city and school board races are not held until May, this determines key county and statewide seats. And don't forget your ID!

This is not an exhaustive list. There are other voting locations we could not fit on the graphic.
⛺ Palo Pinto State Park is OPEN
Okay, I know this is not Parker County, but it’s still awesome. After a long-awaited arrival, Palo Pinto State Park is now open to the public. According to their Facebook, they had a soft opening on March 1st, and sold out of day passes. This is just an hour outside Weatherford, so be sure to go visit. The pictures look amazing, and I can’t wait to get out there eventually!
🏛️ Gavel Drama in Willow Park
Tensions flared at last Tuesday’s Willow Park City Council meeting during the public comment session. Former council member Amy Fennell addressed Mayor Teresa Palmer, stating, “In short, we built this city,” and accused the current administration of working to undo the progress made over the previous eight years.
Mayor Palmer repeatedly used her gavel to interrupt Fennell, citing a need to prevent personal attacks. When Fennell continued her statement, the Mayor had her escorted out of the room by the police. It was an interesting turn of events. You can watch the moment for yourself at the 9:00 minute mark of this video.
COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT
Rotary Club’s 70th Annual Pancake Supper

Photo from last year’s pancake supper
Tonight marks 70 years of the Weatherford Rotary Club’s Pancake Supper! Go enjoy breakfast for dinner at Weatherford High School tonight from 5:00-7:30 PM. You can participate in basket drawings, raffles, and cheer on the contest participants. The contest is typically the elementary kids trying to build the biggest stack of pancakes. It’s a ton of fun!
Proceeds support local scholarships and literacy programs for students. This is the club's primary fundraiser. In previous years, it has raised over $20,000 in a single night to provide scholarships for local graduating seniors. You can purchase tickets in advance for $5 at the Chamber of Commerce or pay $8 at the door. So, if you’re looking for something to do after voting, go join everyone at the Pancake Supper!
